Retail Design

As a Senior Designer at Zalando Outlets, I contributed significantly to designing and implementing storefronts, window displays and wall branding for many Zalando stores across Germany. From sketching and dimensioning to material selection, pre-press and on-site supervision, I managed every phase of the design process. By adapting Zalando’s corporate identity to each store’s unique environment, I ensured a balanced, legible design for both close and distant viewing.

For each store, I adapted a unique Zalando style to ensure brand consistency while making adjustments for local conditions. I balanced close-up and distance readability to create versatile designs that were visually appealing and easily replicable across multiple locations. Outdoor signage components increased brand visibility and contributed to a cohesive, inviting look for each store, regardless of location or time of day.

A key challenge was to create designs that were versatile enough to be replicated across multiple stores, while maintaining a polished aesthetic for frequent seasonal promotions. This task required careful material selection and adaptability to create a consistent, yet locally resonant experience in each Zalando store.

This flagship store of Zalando Outlets is in the heart of West Berlin, next to the Berlin zoo, and my task was the branding of the storefront.
